Activist/Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has posed an interesting question concerning Big Brother Naija. 

In a tweet shared on his X handle, Deji wondered if the winners of the show truly receive the money they claim they have won. He mentioned that he had to ask this question because many of the winners of the show still look extremely broke after the show.

‘’Do they really give BBNaija winners the price money? The reason I am asking is because many of them end up looking extremely broke thereafter.” his tweet reads

Over the years, Big Brother Naija has produced several winners who have gone on to make their mark in entertainment, business, and social influence.

From Katung Aduwak, the first-ever winner in 2006, Efe in 2017, Miracle in 2018, to Mercy Eke, the first female winner in 2019, Laycon in 2020, Whitemoney in 2021, Phyna in 2022, Ilebaye in 2023, and Kellyrae each season’s champion has brought a unique flair and story of resilience to the spotlight.
