Victor Osimhen Hits 200 Career Goals As Galatasaray Thrash Kayserispor

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen marked a remarkable milestone on Sunday, scoring the 200th senior goal of his career as Galatasaray cruised to a dominant 4-0 win over Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Victor Osimhen doubled Galatasaray’s lead during an assured performance, reaching the 200-goal mark across club and international football.

He later turned provider with an assist before being substituted in the 82nd minute. Mauro Icardi sealed the emphatic win from the penalty spot late in the game.

Osimhen’s landmark strike highlighted his red-hot form since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations. He had also found the net in Galatasaray’s previous league fixture, quickly reasserting his goalscoring touch after going blank in a spirited Champions League outing against Manchester City.

In total, Osimhen has scored 165 goals at club level from 284 appearances, while adding 35 goals in 51 matches for the Nigerian national team.

His most prolific spell came at Napoli, where he netted 76 times, while his impact at Galatasaray has been immediate and devastating, with 51 goals in just 61 matches.

He has also enjoyed productive stints at LOSC Lille, scoring 18 goals, and Royal Charleroi SC, where he recorded 20 strikes.

Across his senior career, the 25-year-old has featured in 336 matches, contributing 200 goals and 51 assists.

His honours include league titles in Italy and Turkey, domestic cup success in Turkey, a FIFA Under-17 World Cup title with Nigeria, and individual accolades such as Serie A top scorer, Turkish Super Lig top scorer, and African Footballer of the Year.

Osimhen’s goals have come in 12 different competitions, with Serie A accounting for his highest return at 65, followed by 33 in the Turkish Super Lig.

Only last weekend, he became the fastest player in Galatasaray’s history to reach 50 goals, further underlining his extraordinary influence since joining the club.

The victory keeps Galatasaray firmly at the summit of the Super Lig table with 49 points, extending their lead to six points over second-placed Fenerbahçe, who still have a game in hand.
