Former lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has stated that the opposition coalition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), is prepared to unseat President Bola Tinubu.

Melaye, during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Monday, said the 2027 electoral contest will not be “a tea party as usual.”

He accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of misgovernance and maladministration, noting that while the ruling party “came, saw and conquered” at a time, the 2027 elections would produce a different outcome.

Melaye maintained that Tinubu and the APC will be sent out of the presidential villa, adding that Nigerians are now more prepared to defend their votes.

He said, “There are issues of misgovernance, maladministration out there. Those are the issues I think we should discuss. PDP is a political party. I’m not a member anymore.

“I’m a proud member of the ADC. And that is the party that will unseat Tinubu, and by the grace of God, send APC out of the villa come May 29.

“But I want to assure you that the 2027 election will not go that way. Nigerians are wiser. Like the Boy Scouts, we are more prepared, and I want to tell you that we will defend our votes this time.

“Leave that to time and season, but I’m assuring you that it is not going to be a tea party as usual at all.

“The APC, they came, saw and conquered at a time. But I want to tell you that 2027 will be a different story.”
