Amad Diallo Deletes All Instagram Posts As Photo With Garnacho Sparks Fans’ Fury

Amad Diallo has deleted all of his Instagram posts after sharing a photo with former Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho, a move that quickly drew criticism from supporters.

Amad Diallo, 23, featured in United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday evening. He started in Ruben Amorim’s attacking trio before later dropping to right wing-back as United battled to protect their lead.

When the match was over, Diallo was spotted catching up with Garnacho, who now plays for Chelsea but remained an unused substitute on Enzo Maresca’s bench. The pair, both represented by agency Lead3rS, posed for a smiling photo while swapping shirts.

However, the gesture was poorly received by large sections of the United fan base, who had just spent the evening directing boos and crude chants at Garnacho over his acrimonious departure from the club.

Diallo posted the photo online, only to later remove it. Soon after, his entire Instagram feed was wiped clean. He also deleted nearly all his posts on X, leaving just one behind.

On the pitch, the night was no less dramatic. Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez was shown a red card just four minutes in for a rash challenge on Bryan Mbeumo.

Bruno Fernandes then marked his 200th Premier League appearance with his 100th goal for the club, before Casemiro doubled the lead. The Brazilian midfielder, however, undid his work by picking up a red card of his own before halftime.

Chelsea grabbed a lifeline through Trevoh Chalobah’s powerful header from a Reece James cross, but United held firm to claim the points and move into the top half of the Premier League table.
