Sport Today: Van Dijk Reveals What He Told His Team-Mates After PSG Knocked Them Out Of Champions League

Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk has revealed what he told his teammates after their exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Van Dijk featured as PSG knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League Round of 16 stage.

The Premier League leaders had defeated PSG 1-0 in the first leg in Paris last week.

However, Ousmane Dembele restored parity at Anfield as the return leg ended 1-0 after 120 minutes.

PSG then won the match via penalty shoot-out, thanks to their goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma who made two good saves tobdeny spot-kicks from Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones.

Speaking to Amazon Prime after the game, Van Dijk revealed that he told Liverpool players to keep their ‘chin up’ after their painful defeat on penalties, urging them to focus on their next game at the weekend against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
