Talented Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has finally addressed rumours linking her to the estranged wife of Nigerian legendary singer 2Baba, Annie Idibia Macauley.
Recall that the thespian was attacked online after pitching her tent with 2Baba’s new wife, Natasha, amid the breakup with Annie.
Remember that Yvonne, during an interview with NaijaFM 102.7, made it clear that the speculated friendship with Annie is not real.
According to the movie star, she does not have a friendship with Annie and apart from featuring in the ‘African Queen’ hit song, the duo were not seen together at any time.
She said, “Apart from the video for African Queen, I don’t think anybody has seen us together before. We don’t have common friends.
“I don’t have a friendship relationship with Annie. I don’t know where they are getting that narrative from. Back then, I only walked into a studio, did my thing for the African Queen video, and left.”
Speaking further, Yvonne revealed that she and Annie were never following each other on social media, putting to rest any assumptions that there was a bond beyond the music video shoot.
She also clarified that they have never followed each other on social media, saying, “I don’t understand where the narrative of us unfollowing each other is coming from.”
