Nigerian Grammy Award-winning singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has spoken glowingly about his relationship with his logistics manager, Isreal DMW. Davido featured in the Livestream of Nigerian skitmaker, Carter Efe, and commented on his relationship with Kolu.
The singer compared Carter Efe and Kolu’s friendship to his own and Israel DMW’s.
According to Davido, though many people mock him for the relationship, Israel is one of his best friends and someone he can cry to.
He said, “A lot ot people laugh at me and Isreal but he is one of my best friends and someone I can cry to and that just life.”
In other news, Davido has stated that his collaboration with his colleague Omah Lay, was meant to dispel doubts about his love for him.
Recalls that in 2024, Omah Lay revealed he had assumed that Davido “hated” him until the DMW boss spun his songs during his famous livestream with American streamer Kai Cenat in Lagos State.
In a trending video broadcast, Davido explained that he reached out to Omah Lay after seeing his tweet.
According to Davido, their interactions led to their collaboration on ‘With You’.
He said, “How Omah Lay and I got together was, Kai Cenat came to Nigeria and I was driving him to the club and then Omah Lay’s song comes up, and he was like, ‘Who is this?’
“I responded, ‘Oh! This is Omah Lay, he is hot.’ And then the next day, Omah Lay tweeted like, ‘Wow! Davido gave me a shoutout on a livestream, I thought he hated me.’ And I Dmed him, ‘Why would you think I hate you? We’ve never met.’
“We eventually, exchanged numbers and we were going back-and-forth with music. We did about four songs and he chose ‘With You’ as the one we would release.”
